Job Summary:

Commercial Underwriter is responsible for underwriting new multi-family and commercial real estate loans and managing the entire process until the transaction is closed.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze borrower financial information including tax returns and financial statements.
  • Review and analyze property financial information to determine property cash flows and projected debt service coverage; Review commercial leases and analyze lease concentrations and roll off risk.
  • Oversee and manage all third parties and analyze reports including appraisals and environmental reports.
  • Identify risks and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare approval credit memorandums for submission to senior management.
  • Work with outside attorney to prepare a commitment letter.
  • Review loan documents for adherence to credit approval.
  • Follow up for any pre-funding conditions.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a business-related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in multifamily and commercial real estate underwriting, including a good working knowledge of market factors relevant to multifamily underwriting (occupancies, rent levels, expense items, etc.).
  • Thorough knowledge of complex personal and/or business financials and the ability to review complicated tax profiles.

Job Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

Reporting to the VP of Compliance, the Compliance Auditor will be responsible for auditing mortgage loan applications and closed mortgage loans for compliance with the requirements of state and federal regulations and Company policies. The position may also entail participation in special projects, as needed, in the Compliance Department. Willing to train the right person who has the required knowledge, but no auditing experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Audits loan applications prior to funding to meet goals with as little delay to the operations side as possible.
  • Audits closed loans to meet state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Completes all audits within required timeframes.
  • Performs audits of loans under a repurchase demand.
  • Performs audits of loans selected for examination by a regulator. Assists the VP with other elements of the examination, as needed.
  • Performs compliance audits of loans as needed as per risk elements.
  • All audits will include a review of the compliance elements, such as disclosures, (TRID, RESPA, TILA, ECOA, and HMDA.), points and fees, watch lists, California per diem interest, etc.
  • Responds to QC Vendor compliance findings and ensures final findings and documentations are complete and accurate.
  • Performs various projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • 2+ years of residential mortgage banking compliance or quality control experience.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state compliance laws and regulations including a proven ability to apply these requirements to business practices and systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of mortgage business operations procedures for loan origination. Knowledge of mortgage servicing operations a plus.
  • Knowledge of state licensing and NMLS Mortgage Call Reports a plus.

The Loan Processor is responsible for routing mortgage loan files through internal processing systems and obtain information needed to assist other Processing team members in completing a file in order to achieve final approval from internal and investor underwriting departments, and then into closing status.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Review new loan submissions for completeness.
  • Review processed submissions prior to loans being submitted to underwriting.
  • Contact customer to introduce themselves and inform them that file went to underwriting or collect additional information needed.
  • Review items needed on conditional approval.
  • Restructure loans that were suspended or denied, contact customer if necessary.
  • Contact customer to notify of approval and ask for additional items.
  • Collect items needed for final approval.
  • Review system for accuracy and ensure that all items that are needed for final approval have been collected.
  • Submit loan for final approval to underwriting.
  • Constantly update BytePro, LOS, system in milestone comments and Document Tracking screen.
  • Ensure LOS is always updated with current status.
Job Requirements:
  • Associates Degree preferred, but not required
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Loan Processor in a residential mortgages, Re-Fi, Purchase, or New Construction.
